The Cape Verdean fabric is called pánu di téra. It is very durable, woven with passion and care by the few weavers remaining in the archipelago. Indeed, hand weaving is disappearing in the country, which is a great shame given the fabric’s high quality and originality.
In our own small way, we encourage the weavers to keep this art alive.
Given how rare the fabric is, we have used it sparingly.
