Materials of necklace: African orange & Clear Sea glass beads, horn beads and sued leather. This is a strand of large two-tone white/orange sea glass beads. Note the color could also be called "red", but it's definitely more orange to our eye! These glass beads are made in Africa from recycled glass, and are commonly referred to as "sea glass" because they resemble beach glass. Of course, these beads aren't actually beach glass -- the matte finish is a man-made effect. These beads are created by the skilled powdered glass bead makers of the Krobo tribe, who predominantly live in Nigeria.
